The Gita in Pictures

Here’s something that some random portion of my readers might be interested in. And don’t worry. I haven’t turned all religious. I have just always liked the pictures—they’re part of my childhood days… That… and I wanted to try out the gallery feature in WordPress to see what it is all about…

The quality here isn’t the best. I took photos of the illustrations in PS Mehra’s illustrated “Shrimad Bhagavad Gita in Pictures” which is printed on somewhat waxy textured paper. Scanning would have probably been a better solution, but it was my last day in Santa Barbara and I didn’t have the time to tackle this properly. I also didn’t really do a great job checking for the quality of the photos, and some of them have lens distortion or are a little blury; I’ve removed a couple of photos which were too blury. Maybe I’ll make up for my sloppiness later (like the next time I’m in the US). [Read on for the image gallery....]
