The Path Towards Getting There From Here is a DWAB song off of the A Very Well-Calculated Lack of Cohesion CD. Amy took this photo of me while I was on the “Toy Train” to Ooty, and I thought that I would have some fun with my Photoshop plugins and make a silly video of myself….
I’m not sure if Axle likes the video or not…. Something about “You don’t strike me as a little devil” or something like that, but I think that she’s just trying to be a nice mom…. We all know how scary I can be, right?
The title of the song used as backing music comes from a saying that Dick once told me. I think Ken Noland told it to him. He said, “Well, yes, you can get there from here but you’ll never be able to find your way back.” I kind of felt the same way about the DWAB song by the same name—sometimes if I just heard the ending, I couldn’t quite remember how to get there. So, when I recorded the introduction by itself, I modified the title to who it now stands: The Path Towards Getting There From Here.
